He moved to New York City in 1985 and began a career in recruitment, which led to his founding of Promed Personnel, a medical specialty recruitment firm in 1997. Weiss now has offices in New York City, Long Island, Miami and Plantation, Florida.

During the Summer of 2001, Weiss dad the idea to host benefit parties in the Hamptons, at “Rubi Red” in Wainscott, NY. Recognizing the need and opportunity to connect young people with charitable organizations, Weiss founded Party4Charity in 2002.

Weiss’ other entrepreneurial business interests include Jean Luc Restaurant in New York City and JWOO.com, the Jewish Single’s Network.
